AQU Catalunya is the main instrument for the promotion and assurance of quality in the Catalan higher education system. The purpose of AQU Catalunya is the assessment, accreditation and certification of quality in the sphere of the universities and higher education centres of Catalunya. AQU Catalunya is full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), and has been one of the first three agencies to be included in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). AQU is also member of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), the Spanish Network of Spanish Quality Assurance Agencies (REACU) and the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA). Josep Grifoll

​​Josep Grifoll is an economist with a long experience in QA for HE. Since 1997, he has been working in AQU developing QA processes for programmes and institutions. Since 2008 he is elected member of the Board of ENQA and has been member of the steering committee of the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) in 2010 and 2011. He has experience in international QA projects and processes within Europe, Latin America and South East Asia; in particular he was member of the coordinating team of TEEP I and TEEP II (transnational evaluation projects for Bachelors and Joint Masters in Europe). Recently, he has been coordinating the third edition of the European Survey of Quality Assurance Processes (Quality procedures in European higher education: Visions for the future) and he has designed a European tool for the assessment of the lifelong learning strategies in HEIs. He is also participating as expert in the establishment of an accreditation system for study programmes in Bosnia & Herzegovina (TEMPUS ESABIH). Josep Grifoll has several publications relating to the assessment of impact in quality assessment.

Albert Basart

Albert   Basart  has a degree on Information Science from the Universitat de Barcelona in 2006. During his studies, he worked in the library of the Catalan Universities Ministry, and in other projects related to information management and librarianship. He works in AQU Catalunya since 2004, and became staff of the Quality Assessment Department in 2006 as Project Manager. He has been involved in several quality assurance projects of university degrees and institutions at a national level. He has participated in the design of quality assessment methodology and coordinating evaluation committees. At international level, he participated making contributions in several ENQA seminars.

Anna Garcia

Anna Garcia has a degree in Business, 1998, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Master MBA, 200, Universitat de Barcelona. She is working in the AQU since 2005, particularly in managing European projects and as a technical advisor in the Quality Evaluation Department participating in VSMA Framework processes. In addition, Ms Garcia is one of the AQU Catalunya Internal Auditor.

​Àngels González

Àngels González has a degree in Business (1992) and a Bachelor of Economics and Actuarial Degree (1994) and a master in Advanced Public Administration, University of Barcelona. She is working in AQU Catalunya since 2013. At the beginning she was working in the Financial Department dealing with the INQAAHE Secretariat. In addition to this Àngels she is now also managing the administration of international projects of the agency. Team spirit and communication.
